Opening ceremonies start at 12:40pm with guest speakers including Dr. Arleigh McCurdy from the Myeloma Team of the Ottawa Hospital, Dr. Karim Abou-Nassar from the Oncology Team of the Gatineau Hospital, and Mayor Jim Watson from the City of Ottawa.
You are encouraged to pre-register at www.stepstoacure.ca . Family, friends, neighbours and colleagues are all invited to participate. You can register as a team or as individuals. This year’s fundraising goal is $80,000. 50% of funds raised will be used for research by Myeloma Canada, and 50% will be used for research into Car-T therapy by the Ottawa Hospital.
