February 2nd  – ‘Share and Care’ with discussion on topics such as 4th dose of Covid Vaccine (see https://covid-19.ontario.ca/book-vaccine/ for the number to call, for those in Ontario), and any other topics you may wish to discuss.

 We are also encouraging you to sign and share with your family and friends a Leadnow petition in support of nurses in Ontario. 

The issue is a critical one. As myeloma patients and caregivers we all understand how important nurses, their care, compassion, knowledge and professionalism, are to our journey with multiple myeloma.  In so many ways, they really are the backbone of our health care system!

In recent discussions with some nurses at the OGH they have indicated that they are upset and believe that Bill 124 is not treating them fairly. We agree.

While their union is attempting to meet with Ford, we understand that to date he has been resistant. This petition  (https://act.leadnow.ca/ON-bill124/?utm_source=leadnow&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=blast2022-01-26&source=k ) will help to indicate that the public is supporting the nurses and perhaps give weight to their position. We can’t afford to lose them!
