OTTAWA-GATINEAU MULTIPLE MYELOMA COMMUNITY NETWORK – supporting patients with myeloma
2021 Spring Zoom Meeting Agenda
The Ottawa-Gatineau Multiple Myeloma Community Network invites Myeloma patients, family, caregivers and friends to our 2021 spring monthly information and sharing meetings. The mission of the Community Network is to provide hope and to empower Myeloma patients, family, caregivers and friends through education, advocacy, patient care and support and sharing experiences.
Given the continuing uncertainties surrounding Covid -19 and critical importance for myeloma patients to physically distance we plan to continue to hold our spring all sessions on Zoom. Based on our fall Zoom experience and feedback from participants we have revamped the structure of the meetings so that two of the meetings will focus on “ Share and Care” and two will be discussions with medical clinicians on new developments in myeloma treatments and clinical procedures. The meetings will start at 7:00PM and last an hour and a half. Zoom details on how to register and join the meetings are given below. We look forward to “seeing” you!
Wednesday, March 3rd will be a Share and Care meeting. A chance to share experiences with myeloma patients and caregivers and to catch up on recent local and national myeloma advocacy, education, research and fundraising initiatives.
Wednesday, April 7th we will be joined by Dr. Arleigh McCurdy or one of her colleagues who will talk about new developments in myeloma treatments.
Wednesday, May 5th will be a Share and Care meeting. Another chance to share experiences with myeloma patients and caregivers and to catch up on recent local and national myeloma advocacy, education, research and fundraising initiatives.
Wednesday, June 2nd a medical clinician will join us to talk about clinical procedures and materials that may assist and support our navigation through the treatment process.
Come join us virtually!
